Online Onlive GAME NEWS
Onlive is a small interface that connects directly to your TV and allows streaming of video games bypassing the traditional console. The upside is there should be a large online community on one platform that can play high end games together. This new Onlive service is supported by major game producers and was launched in the fall, 2009.
The technology allows the game to run in the server sender and sends small pieces of the game down DSL very rapidly so there is no lag. Your TV screen or computer screen updates so fast, that it would seem as though it is running on your own computer. The only downside is if you have a very slow connection this may start to break down, but for most good connections, this should be a new technology worth considering. The cost has not yet been determined, but there will be a basic access fee and then tiers depending on how long you rent/play the game, so stay tuned and check back for another update as we get more information,
With the PS4 on its way, gaming wars are going to heat up again.
