ROCKBAND GAME NEWS
This month we check out the Rock Band ps3 drums:
4 colored pads plus the kick drum / bass drum controller let you mimick the playing of real drums. Instead of the guitar or microphone, you can actually learn the real instrument by playing the rock band game on rockband drums. The high hat, snare, bass drum are played with real drumsticks and other pads trigger cymbals and tom toms. Even young kids will be much better off learning the drums on rock band instead of a toy drum set or even regular drum pads as the interactivity of the game will spur kids on to higher drumming greatness.
The rockband wii, rockband xbox and rockband ps3 controllers are similar with many components being the same. Although the gameplay and online tournaments are fun, the greatest part of the game is getting together with live, real friends in the same room and being able to jam together with a guitar, bass guitar, lead vocal and of course rockband drums.
As far as equipment failure, unlike some shooters where you mash up your analog stick and have to replace the controller, the rockband gear is pretty stable, other than the odd bass drum pedal breaking ie. broken rockband pedal that happens quite often.
Also the strum bar problems on some of the older versions of the guitar have led to quite a few exchanges.

Once you master basic rhythm by simultaneously playing high hat, snare and bass drum pedal combinations, increase the difficulty level and try to catch some of the tougher fills on toms and cymbals. In any case, this game rocks and is one of the best truly interactive games where you can play for hours with friends in the same room while actually improving your musical skills. (at least improving your rhythm especially when playing the rockband drum kit).
